Ortronics Offers New Patching Capabilities for Residential/Small Commercial Applications

New London, CT - Ortronics Inc. announces the introduction of a new Voice and Data Patching System for residential and small commercial applications. This new system is designed to allow wall outlets to be easily reconfigured through the use of a patch cord located inside the distribution enclosure - no re-termination is required.

Outlets can easily be switched from voice to data and from data to voice. Likewise, Ortronics new system will also accommodate users who require specific phone lines to appear at specific locations. Simply changing the patching set-up can change the locations of the phone lines.

Incoming phone lines are terminated to the host panel, which incorporates a patching field that accommodates up to 12 appearances of lines 1 and 2, and six appearances each of lines 3 and 4. The unit also incorporates an RJ31X for security interface as well as test ports.

From the host panel, patch cords are run from the apropriate port in the patching field to the corresponding port on the 24 port station panel. From the station panel, all horizontal cables are punched down onto 110 terminations on the rear of the panel and are then run to the wall outlets. All jacks on this station panel are Category 5e rated.

Ortronics new Voice and Data Patching System includes ample identification and cable management features and is designed for use in any of Ortronics larger enclosures (21", 28" and 36" units).

Ortronics also offers panels for video, data, audio and fiber. To complete the installation, a full line of streamlined and elegant faceplates, jacks and other accessories are also available.
